Mojotech (not only) for Bryce Users: Tutorial
IntroductionThe easiest World to define in MojoWorld is an Asteroid covered in the same spiky Terrain all over. You are going to see lots of them. In these pages, I'll try to show you a way to create a Planet thats a little more varied, and there'll be local variations in the cloud cover. As you go along, you'll learn how the MojoWorld way of doing things relates to what you know about Bryce, especially the DTE and Materials Lab. If you don't know Bryce, you will know the principles of it after understanding some of the Mojotech Tutorial. Both Programs are kinds of Procedural Texture Makers. Even though they look and feel quite different, they have a lot in common. Above is a picture of the Tutorial Planet seen from about 2000km up. There are stretches of Land and open Sea, and patches of clouds. OK, the Sea has an all-over sprinkling of Islands, but the most boring thing on any Planet to explore must be the open Sea, so I left them there. Below are a few Kodachromes of the Tutorial World, and if you scroll down to the bottom, you'll find a download link for the Tutorial Planet.
It doesn't always need to be peaks.
This World has cliffs, beaches... ...and rolling hills...
...and stretches of open Sea.
In this Tutorial you'll build the Planet step by step, but you can download the finished World now and play with it - about 46k on to the next page..... |
